There are numerous forms of aerobic exercise to choose from. The most known aerobic exercise are running, climbing, brisk walking, bicycling, and others; but there are actually two other types of aerobic exercise that not many know exist. Well, dancing and skiing are hardly ever mentioned when looking for a good aerobic exercise, so many of you may be surprised to hear that they are in fact aerobic exercises.

The dance steps involved with aerobic dance classes are fitness training. The exercises involved with aerobic dancing are disco, ballet and jazz. You are sweating it out while listening and dancing to your favorite ballroom beat. Age is not a factor when it comes to aerobic exercising. Your grandfather or grandmother can also dance to their favorite cha-cha song. With this type of aerobic exercise come three different levels. The first level, which is the lowest, starts with less strenuous activities, thus, is not recommended to those who want to improve their heart or lung condition. However, if you are only interested on doing some exercise, then this is the dance level for you.

This level is the one you should take if you really want to keep your cardiac and respiratory vitals in equilibrium. The steps here, however, needs you to be already in shape since they are more strenuous and more difficult. You can use the stationary exercise bike to tone your abdominal muscles for preparation. The intermediate level is designed for those who have been fit for quite some time now, and also for those who want to be fitter. High-impact class is another term most people have given this level. Contrary to what most people think, that this class is very easy, you will be surprised to know that some dancers actually injure themselves while executing particular dance steps.

This is caused by overusing muscles which can become very tiring, and thus causing injuries. Other things that can cause injuries in these classes is the type of floor you are dancing on, avoid taking high impact dance classes on tiled or concrete flooring, because they are too hard. Use large exercise mat where feasible. Having soft floors can actually cause sprained ankles as well, so you just have to wear comfortable shoes to avoid any sort of injury.

You should start with your skiing fitness program around two months before you are scheduled to go out on the slope. This exercise is aimed at improving the strength of your leg muscles and also your endurance level. Having good reflexes will enable your body to adjust to any sudden changes and also helps prevent injury in case you should fall. This skiing aerobic fitness training exercise is also supposed to help you make better your skiing time, and making the moment longer than usual, because it is designed to improve your endurance and so exhaustion takes a longer time to set in.
